It sounds like the parent issue is preying on your mind. Perhaps it would be worthwhile, for your own peace of mind, to try again? At least then, either way, you'll know and can put the matter to rest.
Your parent has no maternal instinct, why should you care? What is it that compels you so desperately to find your parent? I would hate mine if they did the same. I'll add that I've never met someone who could fit into a small box. Are you some kind of leprechaun? Nice to meet you either way.

'compels' it is a good word. i do not know why i must. only that it feels important.
